Lora/GPS HAT: Raspberry Pi 2&3 LoRa Module By Dragino

Raspberry Pi 2&3 LoRa/GPS HAT By Dragino

Today we will talk about Raspberry Pi, more specifically an expansion PCB module, adding the Long-Range Radio and GPS functionality in a well-known Single Board PC platform.
Let we present: Lora/GPS HAT By Dragino.
The main purpose of this product is for those who have an interest doing a LoRa WAN networks.
LoRa/GPS Hat module uses Semtech SX1276/SX1278 Long Range 137 – 1020 MHz Radio Transceiver.

Long Range Radio Part:

An integrated Semtech SX1276/SX1278 LoRa™ Transceivers provide ultra-long range spread spectrum communication with 150 dB – 168 dB Link Budget in high interference immunity, all that with a minimal power consumption. Used Modulation Techniques are providing remarkable selectivity, than the conventional ones.

GPS Part:

Built-in GPS Module can calculate and predict orbits automatically. It uses the ephemeris’ data from last up to 3 days, buffered in an internal flash memory. That allows even indoor low-power operation. The Module also has automatic antenna detection and switching function between the internal and external active antenna.
